Governor's Review of the Delaware National Guard Troops

DOVER, Del.- Governor of Delaware John C. Carney Jr. reviewed the troops of the Delaware National Guard for the first time as governor following a ceremony in honor of former DNG Adjutant General (ret) Frank D. Vavala on April 1, 2017 at Delaware State University. Vavala was promoted to a Four Star General in the Delaware State Militia. This prestigious accomplishment marks the first time that a general has achieved this rank in the state of Delaware. Gov. Carney and Delaware National Guard Adjutant General Carol A. Timmons pinned the four star rank insignia on Vavala. Distinguished guests including members of the State of Delaware Congress and Senate, and Delaware State University Leadership were in attendance.
