NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del. – Major General Carol Timmons to perform mass re-enlistment of eight Airmen in front of their families prior to annual family day event.

Major General Carol A. Timmons, the adjutant general, Delaware National Guard will perform a mass enlistment of eight Airmen in front of their families and peers at the Delaware Air National Guard Base on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017.

The mass re-enlistment will be held next to a C-130H aircraft at the 166th Airlift Wing and will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. 

The eight Airmen who will be re-enlisting are Senior Amn. Melinda Watson of New Castle, Del., Senior Amn. Joseph Igartua of Smyrna, Del., Staff Sgt. Ricky Beegle of Wilmington, Del., Staff Sgt. Karina Jacobsmeyer of Clayton, Del., Staff Sgt. Lizabeth Nickless of Sickerville, N.J., Staff Sgt. Mark Williams of Wilmington, Del., Staff Sgt. Shaun Baldasano of Georgetown, Del. and Technical Sgt. Michael Waski of Perry Hall, Md.

Following the re-enlistment ceremony the annual Delaware Air National Guard Family Day event will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Family Day is an annual event held for Air National Guard members and their families for a day of fun, to include bouncy houses, car show, bike show, vendors, and aircraft displays.

The 166th Airlift Wing, Delaware Air National Guard, has more than 1,100 men and women at the New Castle ANG Base in New Castle, Del. The 166 AW provides tactical airlift and airdrop of troops and cargo using C-130H2 aircraft, plus aeromedical evacuation, civil engineer and network warfare functions.
