A total of 18 teams of Airmen from six units competed in the Delaware Air National Guard's Junior Enlisted Council-sponsored 5th Annual Bowling Tournament held over the August Unit Training Assembly, on the evening of Saturday Aug. 6.

Teams were comprised of Airmen from the 166th Security Forces Squadron, 166th Communication Flight, 166th Force Support Squadron, 166th Maintenance Squadron, 166th Logistics Readiness Squadron and 166th Airlift Wing Headquarters.

First place was taken by "The 4 Fine Hams" from COMM with a combined score of 625, giving them bragging rights of "Got GOLD?" to add to their "Got COMM?" prowess, adding even greater credit to the esteem the DANG Golden Bowling Pin engenders from those who throw the strikes.

Second place was taken by "The Incredibowl Hulks" from LRS with a combined score of 578.

Giving the Hulks a close run for the silver were the 3rd place finishers from team "Double Date" from MXS with a combined score of 570.

Seventy-two people competed with multiple supporters on hand to cheer them on, bringing out a total of about 90 people to the event held at the Bowlerama in New Castle. The outing included pizza, drinks, shoes, and two-hours of bowling.

The JEC raised about $420 for base activities, to be put to good use for future holiday get-togethers, social gatherings and charity work.

Everyone had a fun time and I want to personally thank everyone who participated and supported the event!
