Colonel COLONEL LISA A. DAVIS

As Commander of the Medical Group she is responsible for leading, training, and deploying mission ready medics around the globe. She also ensures the 166th Airlift Wing's 1100 members are medically qualified for worldwide deployment. She is responsible for providing guidance to the Wing Commander on medical matters, in support of the unit's wartime tasking and state emergencies and natural disasters response. Colonel Davis completed her residency training in Ob/Gyn and prior to her entry into the Air Force, served on Active Duty in the Navy where she was assigned to the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as a staff Ob/Gyn physician from 2003-2007. She entered the Air Force Reserves in April 2014, and attended the School ofAerospace Medicine where completed training to become a flight surgeon in 2015 while assigned to the 434th AMDS at Grissom Air Reserve Base, IN. In February 2018, the colonel transferred to the Air National Guard where she was the flight surgeon squadron medical element with 166th Air Refueling Squadron at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base, Columbus, OH. Prior to her current position, she was a flight surgeon with the 121st MDG at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base Columbus, OH.


Colonel Davis deployed to Turkey in 2017, in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, and was attached to the 22nd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron, where she completed over 20 combat sorties in the KC-135. In her civilian capacity, the colonel is a Vice-President/Chief Medical Officer and Ob/Gyn in Rockford, IL.
