NEW CASTLE, Delaware --
Chief Master Sgt. Ron Marandola, superintendent of the 166th Civil Engineer Squadron, Delaware Air National Guard, has deployed with his unit around the world for four decades.
Today, Oct. 28, is his last day of service in uniform before his retirement. Nearly every Airman and civilian arriving for the duty day this morning at the New Castle ANG Base saw Chief Marandola at the main gate on Spruance Drive greeting fellow members and saying, "Thanks. It's been a pleasure serving with you".
