Uniform phase-out date is Nov. 1 for BDUs, DCUs and tan boots

NEW CASTLE, Delaware -- The phase-out dates for the following uniform items have been extended until Nov. 1, 2011:

Battle Dress Uniform (BDU)
Desert Camouflage Uniform (DCU)
Tan Boots (excluding Airmen deployed to the Area of Responsibility)

Wear of the Airman Battle Uniform and ABU items will be mandatory as of Nov. 1, 2011.
