The number of laboratory confirmed cases as of May 1, 2009, 11:00 a.m. EST: 141 total cases in the United States, four cases in Delaware, and one death (in State of Texas). In Delaware, four University of Delaware students tested positive for swine flu by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In addition, six more probable cases involving U.D. students were identified Thursday morning, April 30, and those samples forwarded to CDC. This brings the current numbers to four positive for swine flu and 12 probable, according to the University of Delaware on April 30, 2009.
