ARMED FORCES READINESS CENTER, Joint Force Headquarters, Delaware National Guard, New Castle, Delaware -- To my Delaware National Guard family,

On this, our nation's 238th year of independence, we celebrate the birth of our nation and take the opportunity to reflect on the service of those who have defended the cause of freedom. Your service is a tremendous source of pride and confidence for Americans, and gives hope for all people around the world. On this special day, I ask you evaluate the risks involved in your activities, especially those involving travel or alcohol.
