June 2014 UTA dates changed to June 21-22

NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Delaware --  The June 2014 Unit Training Assembly (UTA) dates are officially changed to June 21-22, 2014.

Wing Commander Col. Mike Feeley communicated the June UTA date change to all base membership on Jan. 14, 2014, when he wrote, "The purpose of this is to have them [changed UTA dates] coincide with our Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI). I understand the difficulties this may cause some of our people, but it was unavoidable. Lead time to prepare for our military commitments is invaluable to ensuring stability in our lives, so this change was not taken lightly. I again find myself thanking all of you for your service."

The Unit Training Assembly (UTA) schedule for FY2014 or all units of the Delaware Air National Guard 's 166th Airlift Wing was first published on July 8, 2013 and announced base-wide on July 11, 2013. This schedule covers one weekend of each month during the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2013.

The UTA schedule for October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014, unless attending a Split UTA (SUTA) or Rescheduled UTA (RUTA), is:


19 - 20 Oct 2013 -- OCTOBER UTA CANCELLED effective message sent base-wide 07 Oct 2013

01 Nov 2013 -- date of rescheduled 19 Oct 2013 UTA
02 - 03 Nov 2013 (note: daylight saving time ends Sunday, 03 Nov 2013)

06 Dec 2013 -- date of rescheduled 20 Oct 2013 UTA
07 - 08 Dec 2013

11 - 12 Jan 2014
01 - 02 Feb 2014
01 - 02 Mar 2014

05 - 06 Apr 2014
03 - 04 May 2014
21 - 22 Jun 2014 (these revised dates were announced Jan. 14, 2014)

0730-1600: 166 AW, 166 NWS, 166 CPTF, 166 OG, 142 AS, 142 AES, 166 OSF, 166 MDG, 166 MSG, 166 CFT and 166 SFS.

0700-1530: 166 CES, 166 LRS, 166 FSS, 166 MXG, 166 MXS, 166 AMXS and 166 MXO.

Note: This schedule was published Aug. 27, 2013, then updated Oct. 7, 2013 during the shutdown of the federal government, updated again on Oct. 18, 2013 after the shutdown ended, and updated again to reflect the change in the June UTA dates, which had originally been June 7-8, 2014.
