NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del. --
Members of Delaware National Guard’s Center of Influence visited the 166th Airlift Wing to learn more about the Delaware Air National Guard during a base tour on October 31, 2019, at the 166th Airlift Wing, New Castle, Delaware. The COI event allows for community leaders, elected officials, business leaders, and spokesmen from various organizations in Delaware with the opportunity to learn more about the Delaware National Guard, meet leadership, tour facilities and aircraft.
After a presentation by U.S. Army MG Michael Berry, Delaware National Guard Adjutant General, COI members were divided into two groups. They took turns touring a C-130 configured for Aeromedical Evacuation, visiting the Delaware Air Guard firefighting unit, then tried their hand at flying a C-130 in the Ops flight simulator.
Lunch was served in McCallister Dining Facility. The tour ended at 2 p.m.
