General Deputy Retirement Luncheon

NEWARK, Del.- A retirement luncheon was held on March 2, 2017 in honor of Brig. Gen. David E. Deputy, chief of staff, Delaware National Guard, at the Cavalier Country Club. Deputy was recognized for over forty years of serve in the Delaware National Guard/ Air. He enlisted into the Air National Guard in 1976.


Delaware Gov. Joseph C. Carney, Delaware State Senate and House of Representative members, were present to pay tribute to Gen. Deputy. Present and former members of the Delaware National Guard, Deputy's family, and friends were in attendance. Gen.

Deputy is a fourth generation military member of the Delaware National Guard. His son, Tech. Sgt. Craig Deputy, has extended the years of service of his family to five generations.

Gen. Deputy has served in law enforcement, multiple leadership roles in the 166th Airlift Wing, and now leaves the DNG in the position of chief of staff, Delaware National Guard.
