Thurgood Marshall Elementary Students Visit the Delaware Air National Guard Base
NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del.- A demonstration was given by the 166th Airlift Wing Fireteam during a base visit. Thurgood Marshall Elementary students visited the Delaware Air National Guard on May 25, 2017. Approximately 28 students visited the base as part of the Thurgood Marshall’s Fourth Grade Class Celebration of HERO Week. Lt. Col. Bradley Sams of the 166 Airlift Wing hosted the event for the students of Kristin Tuthill’s fourth grade class. Students had the opportunity to meet with members of the 166th Airlift Wing Fireteam and Explosive Ordinance Team at the firehouse, and tour a DANG C130H aircraft with members of the 166th Operations Group. Leadership including Delaware National Guard Adjutant General Carol Timmons and 166th Airlift Wing Vice Commander Lt. Col. Trevor Fulmer came by to meet with the students during their visit to base. Delaware National Guard Blackhawks transport 166th Security Forces members to New Jersey for training
ARMY AVIATION SUPPORT FACILITY, Del.- A flight crew member of the 238th Aviation Regiment, Delaware National Guard, takes a photo of members of the of the 166th Security Forces Squadron prior to departure to Joint Base McGuire-Dix Lakehurst, N.J. on May 7, 2017.
