NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del.- Staff Sgt. Tyler Kern, 166th Security Forces Squadron, keeps Airman First Class Andrew Valladares, intelligence analyst, 166th Airlift Wing, in custody during a simulated active shooter scenario that took place on August 5, 2017. Exercise Vigilant Diamond took place from August 4th – 5th 2017. Response capabilities of base personnel were tested during simulated events that arose during various phases of the exercise. Members of the Delaware Air National Guard responded to incidents including an active shooter incident, hazardous materials incident, and explosive ordinance device sighting. 166th Airlift Wing Airman receives Master Blaster of the Year Award
Master Sgt. Aaron Weber, 166th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal technician has been awarded the 2018 Master Blaster of the Year award for his service to the Delaware Air National Guard and nation.
