Prepping aircraft for tornado exercise and formation flight

Three Airmen of the 166th Maintenance Squadron, Delaware Air National Guard at the New Castle ANG Base, Del., April 10, 2015, perform elevator boost pack maintenance on a C-130 Hercules transport aircraft. The aircraft will be flown April 11 during Operation Cyclone, a Delaware National Guard joint training exercise when Airmen and Soldiers will respond to a simulated tornado that has swept through New Castle County. Army Black Hawk helicopters will evacuate simulated wounded personnel to the air base, with patients loaded onto C-130s for aerial evacuation. Separate from the exercise, on April 12, six C-130s will participate in the largest formation flown by the wing since departing for Southwest Asia in March 2003 to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.
